We may have to reach out to you at a later time to account for the difference in these costs. You may also email support@modern-aqua.com and we can provide an estimate of shipping costs based on the items you are interested in. Please also include your postal code. We do not make any money from shipping costs. We understand that for some regions outside of the US, the costs may seem extremely high. We would appreciate your understanding as we do not have control over the costs. International orders MAY have separate brokerage and custom fees. UPS will reach out to you directly for customs fees. We are not contacted for these fees so we unfortunately cannot give you any estimates to these costs. As previously mentioned, There may be adjusted shipping costs as we cannot always accurately calculate shipping costs especially if the order is made directly through the website. We often do not know the exact cost of the shipping until the order is packaged (due to the nature of customized orders and shipping costs being impacted by weight and dimensions of the box). The costs that go into international shipments include:

• Cost of the actual products

• Shipping Estimate (Determined by UPS Rates and Modern Aqua will charge for these fees)

• Potential brokerage fees (may or may not apply)

• Customs Fees and Duties (Invoiced by UPS directly to the customer, and we never receive this charge)

If an international order is made through the website, we may reach out in order to inquire for adjusted shipping costs. This is because we do not want to overcharge customers and not have the bandwidth to refund the extra costs for each order. Weight and dimensions determine the cost of the shipping, rates determined by UPS.

Once the package is picked up by UPS and sent over to the international country, UPS will usually reach out to the customer directly for a Customs/duties fee. Please be informed that the current changes with Tariffs and Duties has been making these charges unpredictable and we are not usually informed of the costs of these fees.
