Welcome to Modern Aqua’s Installation Guide. Here, we provide step-by-step instructions of photos as well as video clips to help you install and set up your Modern Aqua shelves and accessories. Select the product you have purchsed from below, and you will be directed to the installation instructions. All shelves with ** indicate that the installation is “plug & play” and rest on the shelf pins that come with the cabinet. No additional steps are needed to install these shelves.

Shelving Installation

All Shelves (Full, Diagonal, Wrap Around, and Corner shelves) can be installed by resting the shelves on the cabinet stock pins, where the glass shelves would go. If you received second hand cabinets or you plan to stagger shelves, you may need to purchase additional shelf pins.

Support Tab Installation

STEP 1

Place shelf to your desired height

STEP 2

Choose a door you want to attach the additional shelf pin to

STEP 3

Superglue the pin to the door, hold for a few minutes before letting go. DO NOT GLUE THE PIN TO THE SHELF (COMMON MISTAKE)

STEP 4

Let it cure for a few hours before putting any weight on the shelves.

IF your akerbar kit did not come with nuts as shown in the video, then you have received an updated version of our kit and you’re now able to screw the hooks directly into the holes of the top piece.
