Our shelves come in 1/4” or 3/8” thicknesses. We recommend choosing the thickness depending on your plants/planters you will have in your cabinet. If you will be putting propagations, smaller plants, plastic, or lighter weight planters, 1/4” will be suitable for your cabinets. With ceramic/terracotta planters or heavier substrates such as LECA and Pon, we suggest choosing 3/8”. Please feel free to reach out to us for any specific suggestions!

We leave protective films on our acrylic material, to protect during the manufacturing and shipping process. All of our products (shelves & accessories) do come clear. If your purchases are not crystal clear and/or has some burn marks, please try to peel the film on both sides until it is clear like glass! If you notice some blemishes or damages even after the films are peeled, please reach out to us!

To clean and maintain the shelves, please be sure to use acrylic cleaners. We have a couple cleaners that we have been using that you can find through our Amazon Storefront. Please DO NOT use alcohol-based cleaners or other solvents/harsh chemicals (e.g., acetone) as they can cause irreversible micro cracks or fractures in the acrylic material.

The difference between Version 1 and Version 2 shelves can be found in this video! V1 shelves have cut out holes while the V2 shelves have brass inserts that have threading, making it easier to screw in the growlight mounting screws! Both versions are meant for mounting growlight brackets that are often included with growlights (e.g., Barrina; growlights or brackets are not included in purchase) directly onto the shelves. The only difference in the feature of V2 shelves is that it has brass inserts on the side of the shelves, which enables the feature of having side pegboards (for select cabinets).

The nature of working with plastic is that, it tends to bow over time under pressure as well as from higher temperatures. Even with thicker material there can be noticeable sagging or slop even overtime. This is why we have implemented center supports for the wider model cabinets to give the shelves better structural integrity.
